DIGITAL DISRUPTION AND YOUR DIGITAL STRATEGY

A CEO cocktail, organized by 3W Consulting, discussing digitalization and its impact upon a company was held recently at the Colombo Swimming Club, where two prominent personalities discussed the topic with a rapt audience. Mr. Stefan Moraes- Managing Director of 3W Consulting- a member of Third Wave Groupon speaking about the company’s decision to organize the event said, “We want to get our clients on the fast track to digital. Help them understand what digital disruption is, what are the forces of disruption, how it impacts Sri Lanka, what their companies should be looking into in terms of digital instruments”. As the internet, social media, the internet of things, big data and new technology such as the drone is shaping the future of the world, digital disruption can be felt across many an industry, from travel and tourism to retail, banking, agriculture, etc. “The whole world has been disrupted and the whole business scope has been disrupted by digital,” Mr Moraes went on to say, “creating new space of business and traditional industries are becoming dinosaurs”. Demystifying digital disruption, Mr Moraes spoke about the forces of digital disruption and what the future may hold among several other topics. Addressing the crowd, Mr Rohan Buultjens spoke extensively on the impact of digitalization to an organization as well as how a company may employ customer experience and articulate the information to improve customer satisfaction.
